What Are The Special Properties Of PVC Foam Board?

　　1. Mechanical properties

　　PVC foam board has high hardness and mechanical properties. And it increases with the increase of molecular weight but decreases with the increase of temperature. Rigid PVC has good mechanical properties, and its elastic modulus can reach 1500-3000MPA (mercaptopropionic acid). The elasticity of soft PVC is 1.5-15MPA. 　　PVC foam board is a polymer with good electrical properties, but due to its high polarity, its electrical insulation is not as good as PP and PE. The dielectric constant, dielectric loss tangent, and volume resistivity are large, and the corona resistance is not good. It is generally suitable for medium and low voltage and low-frequency insulating materials.

　　3. Thermal properties

　　The heat resistance stability of the PVC foam board is very poor, it starts to decompose at 140°C, and the melting temperature is 160°C. PVC has a small coefficient of linear expansion, is flame retardant, and has an oxidation index as high as 45 or more.
